The Building Safety Consultancy Group

We were founded in 2021 when CDM Solutions Ltd decided to form the Building Safety Consultancy Group  as an associate company to separate their Principal Designer Services from the other services they provided.

The purpose of this was to future-proof the undertaking of the Principal Designer role with regard to possible changes brought in by the Building Safety Bill at that time.

As part of this future proofing we have formed strategic alliances with like minded companies to offer our Clients a complete turnkey service with regards to regulatory compliance in the Built Environment.

Our Principal Designer CDM Tool

We use the Mosaic CDM2015 tool on our larger projects which provides easy to use tools to assist undertaking the Principal Designer role including Document Management, Pre-Construction Information pack compilation, Hazard and Risk Identification (HARI), Health & Safety File formation, automated email reminders and instant report generation, in fact everything needed to assist us to comply with CDM 2015.

Mosaic includes a design risk management tool that has been developed to guide designers and construction professionals through hazard identification and design risk management using a HARI approach.

The application provides a comprehensive list of potential risks associated with construction projects, and walks every user through a wizard based Q&A process to determine all risks present on a project, how they have been considered, how they have been designed out where possible, and allows designers to provide written explanation, documentation or advice where risks remain.
